Elder Lisa King Biography
Elder Lisa King received the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at the age of 11. In her early 20’s, while facing many difficult personal challenges, she determined in her mind that she was going to seek the Lord for help. She asked God to lead and guide her to a church where praising God and the Word of God was the foundation. Along the way, Elder King was led to a spiritual place where life was filled with exceeding joy, peace, and godly wisdom.
With a new determination for the Lord, Elder King’s speaking assignments transitioned from moderating fashion shows to spirit-filled worship services where she served as the master of ceremony at many church services. In her willingness to please the Lord, God spoke to her heart and told her to serve in building the Kingdom of God, to compel others to surrender to the fight of godly purpose by way of teaching and preaching God's Holy Word. Elder Lisa received her calling to preach the Gospel and to minister to the lost and wounded in May of 2001.
In 2011 she united as an associate minister under her beloved Bishop, Rev. Darryl Antoine Evans, Sr. and Pastor Terry Evans founders of the Calvary West M.B. Church in Jennings, Missouri. She currently serves on the board of Kingdom Women Ministries under visionary Elder Debra Irons-El. Elder King served for fifteen years under the leadership of her Bishop, Rev. Dr. Robert L. Huston, as overseer of the Singles Ministry; monthly speaker for the Wednesday night Midweek Service; and host of the Annual Women’s Conference at Mount Gideon Missionary Baptist Church in University City, Missouri.
God led Elder King to form the Ephesians 3:20 Ministries in 2006. The Lord’s mission for the ministry is “For God to do exceeding and abundantly above all for His people through the preaching and teaching of His word and to provide spiritual counseling and ministerial mentoring to touch and change hearts, renew minds, and revive the right spirit.” She is an intercessor, a worshiper, and a true threat to the enemy! Since August 2010 you will find her on Tuesday mornings at 5:25 AM leading the Faith in Healing Prayer Line. On the first and third Sunday mornings since August of 2013 she provides the Ephesians 3:20 Ministries' full worship service experience to the residents of the Pillars of North County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. In 2019 a fifth Sunday afternoon service was added.
With a diverse appreciation for the arts, Elder King has participated in several gospel stage plays including Is Your Ghost Holy written and produced by Pastor Drew Huston of St. Louis, Missouri. She also served on the ministerial staff of Fellowship Choir under the leadership of Founder and Pastor Sheldon Johnston and was humbled to lead a song entitled “He Changed It” from the CD project, Expectations. In pursuit of her love for dance she found and choreographed the Revelation Mime Team.
In 2020 Elder Lisa received her Master of Divinity from Eden Theological Seminary in Webster Groves, Missouri. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Bible and Christian Ministry in 2015 and her Associates Degree in Biblical Studies in 2013 from Saint Louis Christian College in St. Louis County.
